Goldilocks and the three bears

This exercise is about a famous tale called "Goldilocks and the three bears" from the brothers Grimm. It's aimed at ESL students ages 8-10.

JMix is the tool belonging to Hot Potatoes with which this activity has been created.

How does the activity work? First of all, children have to listen the story at least two times and then try to put the sentences in the correct order.

Some previous knowledge regarding grammar constructions is required: irregular verbs and the present perfect continuous.

Gap-fill dialogue

Next exercise is aimed at ESL students ages 11-12. ( 3rd cicle of primary school)

The activity is made with a well-known authoring tool, Hot potatoes, exactly with JCloze.

Students have to fill in the gaps in a dialogue between two friends about a birthday invitation. Some hints are provided to complete the text.

It's a printable crossword about the semantic field of birthday and is made by means of an exercises generator inside a website called Discovery School.

It might be proposed as a recycling activity or as an introductory one to more complex ones.
